mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;Il giorno 21 Ottobre più di 50 dottorande e dottarandi, ricercatrici e
ricercatori dell’Istituto Universitario Europeo si sono riuniti in assemblea al
bar autogestito dell’università (Bar Fiasco) per discutere i tagli al sistema
dell’educazione pubblica approvati con la legge numero 133 del 2008. L’assemblea
è consistita in una discussione dettagliata e stimolante riguardante i punti
principali della suddetta legge. Abbiamo anche parlato delle proteste che
studentesse/studenti, maestre/maestri e professoresse/professori stanno organizzando in molte città italiane.
Come persone inserite nella comunità dell’Istituto
Universitario Europeo, esprimiamo grande
preoccupazione per il futuro del sistema scolastico ed accademico
italiano. Siamo ancora più preoccupati della situazione se confrontiamo il caso
italiano con il resto dell’Europa. Per questo, in questi giorni stiamo
discutendo le modalità di supporto e di connessione con le lotte Italiane in
corso.
Poiché crediamo che l’Europa sia una comunità di
cittadine e cittadini – come ci insegnano all’Istituto Universitario Europeo –
la situazione italiana non dovrebbe essere considerata un problema locale, ma
piuttosto una questione che riguarda un sistema di educazione integrato a
livello europeo.
Per questo motivo invitiamo tutte/i a partecipare e a contribuire alla nostra discussione con idee
e proposte.

On the 21st October more than 50 EUI
researchers and fellows gathered in a public assembly at Bar Fiasco in order to
discuss the cutting of funds to the educational system approved by the Italian
parliament (law 133/08). The assembly engaged in a meaningful and detailed
discussion on the most relevant features of the aforementioned law. We also talked
about the protests that students, teachers and professors have been organising
in many Italian cities.
As members of the EUI academic
community, we are deeply worried about the future of the Italian educational
and academic system. This is even more worrying, when we compare the Italian
case with the rest of Europe. Therefore, we
are discussing potential ways so to support and connect us with the already existing
Italian mobilisation.
Since we believe Europe
being an integrated community of citizens – as the EUI teaches us – the Italian
situation should not to be considered a local problem, but a matter that
concerns an integrated European system of education.
That is why we warmly invite all EUI
researchers, fellows, staff and workers to participate and contribute to the
ongoing discussion with ideas and proposals.
